Last week of December » Aldergrove Family Photographer
Post #30 of Personal Project 52 weeks.
* Sleeping. It’s rare to be able to photograph him sleeping. This was a daytime nap that lasted 3 hours. An exceptionally long nap for him.
* Trying to keep up to his brother.
* He is unexpectedly careful with Noah’s builds. Making slight modifications here and there but ensuring that the Lego creations remain recognizable. Thereby keeping the peace.
* He is an early riser. It’s hard to get him to stay in bed past 6 am. Often he is up at 5:30. We have tried many tactics to get him to sleep later but I think he’s just wired to be an early riser. Like his dad and completely unlike me.
* New Years Day was a sunny, cold, crisp day. It’s our tradition to spend Christmas with the L family and New Years Day with the V family. It is the only day of the year that my father declares a holiday for himself. We went for a walk at the New Westminster Quay.
* We toured one of the steamboats.
* One of my blog followers noted some time ago that Art hardly appears in any of these weekly posts. So I’m making a bigger effort to photograph him. He’s not terribly keen to be photographed. I don’t know why. Mr. GQ.
* Captain Noah.
* Opa & Oma V and the kids. This is the best photo despite a lot of bribery. My kids know all my tricks and are completely unfazed by me acting like a crazy person. And my parents appear confused. Or amused. Either way, I still don’t have a proper photo of my kids and my parents.
Pauline - Nice! We went to the Quay a lot as kids. Good idea with the drawers in the Ikea unit. Do they sell those there too?
Audrey - LOVE the variety of shots here. Great pictures! I hope that one day (soon) Noah will learn to enjoy sleep a touch more 😉
sheree - WOW! i’m so impressed, 2 posts in less then 24 hours!
I love the shots of Captain Noah on the boat.
Leona - Awww – love these pics! I like how you capture moments that are often over looked by us moms….you are an inspiration! The picture of Noah in his pj’s looks like he’s just waiting for the rest of the world to wake up! 🙂 And I love the pic of Mattias sleeping – how cute is he!
