Second Week of April » Aldergrove Family Photographer

Post #44 of personal project 52 weeks.

You’ve probably forgotten about my little project. I have not. It nags at me. It asks me if I should be on pinterest.

It is almost the end of May which marks the end of my project. I just haven’t edited and blogged the photos. Here come the excuses.

First my computer died. I ordered a new one, which took 1 week to get ready. Then 1 week of installing, moving files, configuring all the programs to work (not completely done this step yet) and working out the kinks of the new system (just dealt with a number of these last night). Then we (the whole family) were collectively sick for about 3 weeks.

But here it is. Post #44.

* This week was all about Noah. His 4th birthday. His birthday gift from us. It could only be Lego.

* Mattias loves to ‘hide’ under the curtain.

* Birthday cake. Super easy to make. Because it turns out I don’t enjoy cake decorating. Or cookie decorating. I’d prefer to take a photo of a pretty cake or cookie. In fact, I believe this might be the case about most craft projects. Cake was inspired by image found on pinterest. If you are inspired by pretty photos of gardens, interior spaces, photography, food, decorating, DIY, sewing, then pinterest is a great way to store your inspiration, share it with others and find similar sources of inspiration.

* I have never seen anyone more excited about his birthday. He was all about the party, cake, friends and presents.

* Opa and Oma V came over for birthday dinner. And yes, he received more Lego. Kingdom Lego. His favorite.

* Oma V wanted to make sure that Mattias didn’t feel left out, so he was given a gift as well.

* A guitar.

* Noah was invited to visit his future school for the ‘Ready. Set. Learn.’ program. Noah and his little buddy Josh were definitely not ready to sit for crafts around each activity table, preferring to pull books of the shelves, play hide and seek, run laps around the library and generally rambunctious behavior.

  • Ang de Boer - I LOVE the one of Mattias hiding in the curtain. Reminds me of an ultrasound picture actually…. Maybe it’s about time we get Ryan some Lego….ReplyCancel
