Jordan & Ang » Wedding Photography Abbotsford
On May 21st, Jordan & Ang became Mr. & Mrs F.
They are some seriously gorgeous people, not to mention fun and relaxed.
As a graphic designer, Ang added many personal design touches to their wedding. I was drooling over so many of her choices. Her veil. Her earrings. Her flowers. Her stunning dress. Bridesmaid dresses. Colors. Turquoise. With splashes of lime green.
Ang got ready in her childhood bedroom. I love that.
See. Gorgeous, right? That dress fit her like it was made for her. Fitted and full at the same time. Layers and layers of sheer fabric add to the romance of the dress. And my favorite was the way the light touched that dress. Magic.
The hint of anticipation… okay, maybe more than a hint. More like a full blown excitement. Getting ready with the bride is so much fun. Seeing the transformation as all the preparations come together. And all I want to do is document those moments. Not interfere. Keep it natural and real.
Michelle did an AMAZING job on her hair. The makeup was perfect. The veil. Classic and elegant and a little nostalgic.
Some last minute primping with best buds and bridesmaids.
Bridesmaids and Bride.
Ang & Jordan decided to do a first look. How I love first looks! Especially the expression on the groom’s face… waiting for his soon-to-be-wife to descend the stairs.
Mom & Dad V. have a beautiful home filled with windows. The light in their home was PERfect for photos.
Off to the ceremony!
Trying a different type of processing for my B&Ws. It’s moody, photo journalistic and I love it.
There was an orchard across from the church. Happy dance! (Someone hire me to come back here please!)
I love this one so much.
And this one.
The handsome groom. Thrilled that he kept the mohawk, even if it’s subdued.
We headed out to Cultus Lake for some portraits and wedding party photos.
Arenda Dehaan, my second shooter, suggested this pose. LOVE it! About 20 minutes earlier it was POURING out.
That water had just about every shade of blue in it.
Arenda took this shot of me working. I’m still shocked that my back wasn’t sore after a full day of carrying that much equipment around my neck. I attribute this purely to the fitness classes I’ve been taking…
The jump shot. Funniest jumps ever. This wedding party made me laugh so hard.
It’s my feeling that this would be brilliant on a metallic print. It would just shimmer.
Every bride and groom should get a wee little nap in on their wedding day.
Details Details Details. Flower by one fabulous florist Jan Martens.
Ang designed her guest book with images from their engagement session from last fall. And designed the matching programs. Nicest programs I’ve ever seen!!! Beautiful thick card stock and professionally printed. I swiped one for my collection! Yes, I keep these things. If you’ve ever been asked to design a program, or plan a program, it is REALLY handy to have some samples. So I have a box full of wedding programs.
Ang & Jordan, it was so much fun to hang out with you and your family & friends on your wedding day. May God bless your journey in marriage and may you find your joy in Him.
