It is an idyllic location. There are pools of water, moss growing on sides of cliffs and at the top of trees. Ferns and foliage everywhere. A raging river and lots of river rock.

It was a fun place to explore with a really special family.

Lorraine was the one who coached me on how to be a Louwerse wife. Because there are genetic predispositions one needs to be aware of. Such as? Well, I can only speak for myself and my experiences but let’s just say that the commonality among the clan is that there is a particular way to do things. A level of tidiness and neatness that must be maintained. There is a way to load the dishwasher, a way to mow the lawn, a way to organize the tool shed, a way to load the car. Those Louwerse’s are organization kings. And well, Lorraine warned me about what I was getting myself into.

But to be perfectly honest. I love these characteristics. They make me smile. They keep my life organized. And I have no doubt that at some point they will drive me nuts.

I love the scale of the tree and the roots next to the family.

The water was very cold. I think it was worth it!

The kids all got to pose in their own style and location. Colter spotted some huge boulders with green moss on them. Raina picked water. Kierra laid down like this on the rocks. Lincoln was sitting like this patiently waiting for his turn. He spent some time rock collecting. I think this would make a cool photo grouping on a wall.

Amazing hair! She is sure beautiful!
