This was such a fun and gorgeous wedding day: September sunshine and a bride and groom that were so crazy for each other. Really that’s all you need. We started the day getting ready at Cobi’s parents home. I was drooling at the amazing reno work they had recently completed. Meanwhile, Russell was having a very hard time staying away from his bride prior to the first look. He seemed to wander in and out and around every couple minutes while she was getting ready. He swears he saw nothing.

And now let’s take a moment to talk about that dress. Cobi, that dress was amazing! It was perfect to photograph. And it suited Cobi perfectly. Perfect to flounce around in. She could hike that thing up and there was still more fabric and layers. 🙂

My second shooter and friend, the amazing Kristy Klassen, joined me for the portraits. What a hoot we had exploring a new location and just basking in the sun. Just before the family portraits, we squeezed in a stop at high street mall for some different photos. Loved how they turned out! Then we headed to the ceremony to make everything official and then off to the reception at Darvonda. The theme was a garden party and it was perfectly executed with strings of garden lights surrounded by greenery and of course great food, lovely speeches and lots of mingling.
